Two Special Trips We're excited to share about God's provision for TWO SPECIAL TRIPS Tammy will be going on.   TRIP 1: PROJECT DANCE NYC April 22nd-29th, 2016 The short version is:  A trip to NYC quickly, suddenly, and very surprisingly fell into place! A series of events all lead to: I (Tammy) read a post from my friend, Cheryl Cutlip, who recently shared about things God's been doing through Project Dance.  Reading her testimony something in me was instantly stirred and I knew I had to be at NYC Project Dance 2016. FAITH rose up in me!  I checked plane tickets.  The tickets for my exact dates were cheaper than any other dates.  The NEXT day a supporter donated all the money for the air-ticket!  I was SHOCKED and BLESSED by God's love. He was not only asking me to partner with Him, but that He was also providing the way. Project Dance NYC here I come! PLEASE PRAY!: For my entire trip, but specifically on Saturday we will be in TIME SQUARE bringing glory to God and sharing His LOVE to the City of New York!  Pray that His GLORY and LOVE would make an impact in lives and in the City. TRIP 2: WORD IN MOTION DANCE FEST July 26th-August 3rd, 2016 In July, I will head out to Los Angeles, CA to participate in Word In Motion's Dance Festival.  The trip is still a couple of months out but we wanted to share that this air ticket has SEPARATELY, ALREADY, ALSO been completely covered!

The2Locks: March 2016 Dancing with Norwegians Hosting HEDMARKTOPPEN Dance Program For the past THREE YEARS Andreas & I have been blessed to build relationship with a Dance Program from Norway.  Ironically they have been coming to Kona for 6 years, however... 2014: We first met in Houston, TX. 2015: We helped host them in Los Angeles, CA. 2016: We hosted them this month here in Kailua-Kona - we taught dance & pilates, we performed together, and we provided worship and teaching on Jesus! Each year we have been with them it has been after they have spent a week in Mexico where they visit with street kids, trafficking victims, and build homes for homeless (http://www.ywamhomesofhope.org/). It is always an amazing time to be with them!  TESTIMONY  They said "YES TO JESUS" Hedmarktoppen is a Christian pre-University school, however not everyone who attends their various programs are believers.  That was the case for some in this year's Dance Program. The night before our last day with the class, I (Tammy) woke up at 3AM, and felt the Lord nudging to get up and pray.  God started speaking . . . In the morning, I challenged the dancers with what God had spoken in the middle of the night. TWO CHALLENGES: 1st: in light of their recent trip to Mexico, after seeing all the hardship of the people - would they forget about doing GOOD for others -OR- would they live a life doing GOOD for others in Jesus name? HALF OF THEM RESPONDED!!!!!  Asking God for help in this area!!!!!! 2nd: God wasn't done!  I felt God say there were some who knew Christ but didn't have relationship with Him because they did not trust Him.   I shared how ONLY JESUS IS TRUSTWORTHY, then asked how many were ready to say "YES to JESUS!"?   FIVE RAISED THEIR HANDS!!  FIVE SAID YES TO JESUS!!  PRAY  We PRAY that God goes after these 5 relentlessly!  That He transforms their lives with HIS UNFAILING LOVE, and shows off how TRUSTWORTHY He is!  AMEN! We have a GOOD FATHER!  SO GOOD that He will wake others up at 3am to pray, so that He can get an open door to show HIS LOVE to someone who did not fully know HIS LOVE. Highlights Teaching pilates to 19 Norwegian dancers. Performing on campus  - the Norwegian Dancers also joined!

The2Locks: February 2016 Dancing for Global Missions Leaders At the Cunningham's (Kona, Hawaii) As February turns into March, we call this month "Mad March"- during this month YWAM hosts one meeting after another with global missions leaders. We spent the last week of February performing at the Cunningham's who are hosting these meetings. We will continue with several more performances over the month of March.  One of the meetings we performed for Wycliffe Bible Translators!  What a privilege to bless & encourage them with our dancing. After performing at one of the meetings we snapped a picture with Loren Cunningham (seen above) - the Founder of our mission organization - & announced on Facebook that he is our new breakdancer. ;)   Highlights Videos: YWAM Kona Happenings

Lost Kites There are several Multi-media / Performing Arts endeavors on our campus. Heartbridge is just one part of that.  Another team that also serves here is called Innovision who sent a team known as the Eloy Project around the world to document the lives of 3 orphans.  Check out their film: LOST KITES.  (Movie Trailer: click on image above) website:http://eloyproject.org/ Healing in Nepal Right now Discipleship Training Schools are returning back to Kona from two-three month outreaches teams have been on.  Testimonies pour out from these outreach teams. Check out a video testimony from a previous team that was in Nepal.  (click on image above)

The2Locks: January 2015 New Year: New School At the University of The Nations As you know Discipleship Training Schools are the starting point for everyone who joins YWAM.  YWAM also has Second Level programs that students can apply for after they've completed a DTS.  We are currently running a Second Level training program here at the University of the Nations in Kona, HI called:School of Performing Arts 1. I've (Tammy) had the privilege of speaking this past week on the topic:Co-Creating with God (picture above).  A topic I'm very passionate about and have been so thrilled diving deeper into by lecturing on it. Together again w/Emily SO THRILLED to have this girl here in Kona!  We danced together for 2 years in Houston, Texas with Ad Deum Dance Company.  She was in the main company, is truly a gifted professional dancer, and absolutely in love with Jesus.  She is here helping teach dance, and preparing to go through a DTS in April! Catching up w/Sarah It was a treat to meet up with Sarah who was visiting Kona for a couple of weeks.  Over 10 years ago, Sarah was in the first Performing Arts Discipleship Training School here in Kona which I was staffing.  Since DTS she's been working full time with a ministry that provides a home for young adults with special needs, as well as developing businesses of her own, and going to places like Nepal for ministry.

Anniversary January 17th we celebrated our 7TH ANNIVERSARY!  Praise God for 7 years of marriage!  We live a life that is a true faith journey.  We spent our anniversary simply exploring the island.  Below are some pictures we took for fun while out exploring.

The2Locks: November 2015 Back In Kona Arriving back in Kona, felt like returning to familiarity. In the past 10 years this is where I have spent the most time, coming back felt just as strange and just as normal as ever.  Fundraising It has been going slow but steady.  We have been SO grateful for every penny that has come in to help make this possible!  It is unbelievable how much we have been able to fill in with the help of you! "est. roots" With a YWAM salary of $0, we would like to raise monthly supporters who will commit to a set donation for an entire year (12 months). For example: Someone who would commit to donating $10 a month for 12 months or $50 a month for 12 months, etc. would be a monthly supporter. Thanksgiving w/HeartBridge We celebrated Thanksgiving on our UofN Kona Campus along with hundreds of others from multiple generations, nationalities, and languages.  Our team - HeartBridge - sat together over our Thanksgiving Lunch and then had a little Thanksgiving get-together along with the attendants for the HeartBridge Dance Seminar we currently are running.  "Home" It is NOT a buyer/renters market in Kona right now, however we truly feel God opened up the door for us.  The day before Tammy's arrival, Andreas sealed the deal on a house for rent. We moved in, did some deep cleaning, and have signed a one-year-lease!  Praise God!

1 Month

1 Month -  until we will be on the Big Island.   YWAM in Action.   Some of our ministries - including yours truly - in action. Looking Back on our Faith Journey Sometimes to move forward in Faith it's good to look back at the testimony of what God has done.  Every step of this journey has been an absolute step of faith.  Last Newsletter we glanced at 2011 & 2012. 2013 - After moving to Houston, TX to train with Ad Deum 2 in 2012, we stayed in Houston through 2013.  For the first time since we were married we stayed in one place longer then 12 months.  God knew we needed the consistency.  As this was the year our marriage hit some very rocky road.  In short - our marriage got shaken up, to the point where God was truly the glue holding us together.  In this season it was more clear than ever that "God is Faithful, he is Faithful, he is Faithful."  He brought healing into some rough places in our lives and marriage that had been lingering from before we had ever met.  God is Faithful. 2014  - We decided it was time to make our way back to Kona.  Not by hopping on a flight, but by taking a faith journey across the country from East Coast to Los Angeles, California - where we felt God had key connections and equipping for us.  Our drive across country would have been enough to say God faithfully lead/orchestrated, but it only got better as we got to California. Ready for this?  A month before we arrived to California Tammy's friend Jordan closed & moved into a house where he was hoping to rent out rooms.  We arrived and have been his first tenants.  Andreas and Jordan hit it off like no other. Another ironic "coincidence" was that the BASI Pilates certification that Tammy had been looking into for some time, had their HEADQUARTERS less than 30 mins from Jordan's house. There's so many other "coincidences" during our time here in California.  But it will suffice to say - God has truly ORCHESTRATED our time here in California.

Fundraising Campaign We need your help.  Please pray. We have been so blessed by donations slowly coming in.  However after sending out a snail-mail campaign to raise support for our move, out of 125 letters we've had a 7% response - which we are grateful for but we are praying for more.  We have been grateful for every penny that came in - amazing generosity of friends taking up offerings at their church, to friends giving very generous amounts out of their pockets (thank you! thank you!). We have had enough to organize shipping our car and definitely Andreas' plane ticket.  We believe we even have enough for shipping most of our boxes(literally Andreas has been crunching numbers every day to find the very, very cheapest way to get things to KONA). However when it comes to the daunting thought of arriving and finances for housing & establishing roots: tags/license for the car, auto insurance, health insurance, finding let alone renting a place to live, and any sort of financial stability...I feel like my insides start to swell up with a big question mark "How in the world are we going to do this?" The only way to make this possible is with God and with our Community of supports and partners standing with us.
